Aims & Scope
Oral Sphere Journal of Dental and Health Sciences (OSJDHS), a publication focused on topics related to oral health, dental care, and related health sciences, established in 2024, is a peer-reviewed, print and online, quarterly journal that publishes articles in English.
The journal’s full text is available online at www.oralsphere.com. The journal allows open access to its contents and permits authors to self-archive the final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.

Authors are also permitted to deposit the final electronic version of their article in an institutional or centralized subject repository after publication. They must provide a link to the published article on the journal's website and attribute the journal and Publisher as the original source of publication, ensuring correct citations are provided.
Why Open-Access Publishing?
Restricted access to scientific research, often through subscription paywalls, limits communication and collaboration within the scientific community. Such restrictions also impede the education and dissemination of scientific knowledge to aspiring young scientists. Increased productivity and advancement in science can only be achieved by widely distributing knowledge and creating permanent repositories, such as Open Access, for easy access and sharing.
By using a Creative Commons 4.0 License (CC-BY-NC 4.0), we enable users, readers, and peers to use the content with clear permissions. This allows for reuse and redistribution as long as the source is appropriately credited for non-commercial purposes.
Self-Archiving Policy for Authors
We encourage authors to upload the final published PDF of their article to their institutional or relevant subject repository, in compliance with the article's end-user license (for non-commercial reuse only), immediately after publication. The uploaded version should include the URL and a link to the online published version on the publisher's website to ensure it is recognized as the official record.
Abstract and Citation Information
Authors are welcome to share the abstract and citation details (such as title, author name, and publication date) of their article at any time, including on social media platforms like Facebook, blogs, and Twitter. Proper attribution to the original source (the publisher's website) is required, or alternatively, the DOI number can be included in the social media post to link directly to the published article on the journal’s website.
Submitted Version
The submitted version, or preprint version, is the author's original article before it undergoes peer review by a journal. The author holds full responsibility for the content and formatting of the article.
Authors are permitted to upload their preprint version to preprint servers, personal or institutional websites, or preprint commenting platforms, as long as the use is non-commercial. When submitting the manuscript to the journal, authors must disclose all relevant details about the preprint, including the DOI and licensing terms. After publication, the preprint record must be updated with the publication reference, including the DOI and a URL link to the article on the journal's website.
Accepted Manuscript
The Accepted manuscript is the peer-reviewed version of the article that has been approved for publication by the journal, incorporating revisions based on reviewer feedback. This version has not yet undergone copyediting or typesetting changes. The journal does not recommend that authors upload the accepted manuscript to personal websites, institutional repositories, or other non-commercial subject-specific repositories.
Published Version
The Published Version refers to the final, definitive version of an article that has been formally made available by the publisher on the respective journal’s website. This version is either released as part of the complete journal issue or as an 'online first' article. This Published Version has undergone copyediting, typesetting, metadata application, and has been assigned a DOI, making it the official, citable version of the paper.
Authors are allowed to share this Published Version with private groups within their institution or through private, non-commercial repositories that adhere to the STM Voluntary Principles for Article Sharing on Scholarly Collaboration Networks (SCN). The published version cannot be uploaded or shared on commercial websites or repositories unless an agreement is in place with the publisher, granting permission for such sharing.

- Our journals feature both digital and print advertisements. All commercially sponsored advertisements are independent of editorial decisions.
- The journal and publisher do not endorse any product, service, or sponsor featured in an advertisement. Editorial content remains impartial and unaffected by any commercial or financial interests or agreements with advertisers or sponsors.
- We reserve the right to reject advertisements that may harm the brand, are irrelevant to the content, or are misleading or deceptive. Advertisements must present verifiable information.
- Advertisements that are indecent, offensive, or discriminatory based on personal, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or religious characteristics, whether in text or artwork, will not be accepted.
- We will not accept advertisements for products or services known to be harmful to health, such as tobacco or alcohol.
- Even if an advertisement is published online, it will be removed from the journal site if deemed inappropriate by the journal and publisher.
- Advertorials targeting specific articles with treatment or drug-specific campaigns related to the advertised product will not be allowed.
- Advertisers must provide marketing authorization and a summary of the product characteristics when submitting their advertisement. For drug advertisements, the full generic name of each active ingredient must be clearly listed.
- Editorial decisions will remain independent and unaffected by current or potential sponsors and advertisers, with no influence from marketing considerations.
- Any complaints regarding advertisements will be addressed in the Advertisements section of the print copies only.
